2013 International Conference Proudly Empowering Women in the Maritime On behalf of the 2013 International Conference Proudly Empowering Women in the Maritime organizing committee, I am pleased to draw your attention to this forthcoming event, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 23th of May 2013.The 2013 ICPEWM is organized by the Department of Nautical Science and Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona. In addition, it is supported by IMO, which is making joint efforts worldwide to promote change for the better for women in shipping, as will be shown in the new IMO film “Women at the helm” that will be presented in our Conference, and which highlights first-hand experiences from some of those who have already succeeded. ITF, DGMM, EMSA, WISTA, SEMM, Foro Naval and Stella Maris have also already confirmed their attendance and support to the event. |
